There was cause for celebration as Solihull & Shirley maintained the difficult feat of being unbeaten for the whole of the Summer League season.
Solihull & Shirley beat Birmingham Uni 4-2 in which concern was shown that Uni had fielded only 4 players for 2 teams which lead to a severe delay to our team who were waiting a long time to play their appropriate games.
The team will be slightly disappointed though to have come away with a 3-3 draw against Broadway Flyers especially when Chris Tonks, England No. 8 played for the team & took all three of his rubbers.
The final match of the season was against Hot Shots 'A' where the Solihull & Shirley team came away with a convincing 5-1 win.
Congratulations must go to Rob Bamford, Tim Lawrence, Chris Tonks, Tom Whitehouse, Rob Forrester, Joe Hulse & Paul Harris who all played for the team over the summer season.
