Congratulations to Warwickshire's first Silver club!

A Solihull badminton club has become the first in Greater Warwickshire to be accredited in a national award scheme.

Solihull and Shirley Badminton Club achieved Sport England's Clubmark standard by becoming a BADMINTON England standard 'Badminton Silver Club'.

Coach, Paul Harris said: "We are delighted with our new award which reinforces our reputation as club committed to quality. Accreditation will undoubtedly help us to recruit and retain new members."

Solihull Sports Council provided grant aid for club officials to attend Clubmark workshops prior to accreditation.

The club plays at Langley School on Wednesday evenings and has seven team in the Birmingham League plus four teams in the Solihull League.
