There was only one match for Solihull & Shirley Badminton Club this week.
It was a hotly contested final Men’s 1st team match in the Birmingham League when they played Aston Villa for 2nd place in the 1st division. Matt Dejesus & John Hudson and Joe Hulse & Paul Harris played well to pick up 2 rubbers a piece to leave the match at a nail-biting 4-4 with one rubber left to play. Mick Ollivent & Andrew Kitching battled hard to win the final rubber in 3 games for a great 5-4 victory and the 2nd position.
