6 Apr 2008 - Battledore Cup

The Battledore Cup took a different format this year & turned into an all day tournament based on the combined match format.

Captain Katie Johnson, Jayne Clarke, Vanessa Ballesteros, Martin Hollingworth, Derek Sarkar & Seb Drury formed the 1st team for Solihull & Shirley. It was a disappointing serious of results for the team but fortunately they were able to come away with a win at the end.

Captain Matt Dejesus, Andrew Wainwright, Jessica Hogan, Charlotte Kennedy and Grace Ollivent played for the 2nd team & faired better in their group. They were unlucky to miss out on the top spot in their group after narrowly losing to Activ Sports in the first of their games.
